Claire Danes Looks Effortlessly Gorgeous on Two February Covers of UK Harper’s Bazaar

Just like the American edition, British Harper’s Bazaar is celebrating its 150th anniversary — and the February cover gets the party going. Staying true to its penchant for celebrity covers, Homeland actress Claire Danes makes a return to UK Bazaar and delights with an icy, effortless and gorgeous duo of covers for both newsstand readers (below) and subscribers, photographed by Alexi Lubomirski.

Members of our forums liked what they saw. “I had a feeling she would land a cover sometime soon since Homeland is premiering soon. Glad to see her!” welcomed TheoG. “In regards to the covers, she looks rather effortless, relaxed and natural. Just not fond of the styling.”

“How gorgeous! It doesn’t look try-hard or too forced. Danes can be great in print, and can’t wait for the new season!” Miss Dalloway shared.

HeatherAnne shared the same sentiments. “Gorgeous styling for her. Lovely covers for February. I’ll still never understand her overly bleached hair and dark roots, but they did a good job of disguising it here,” she pointed out.

“I absolutely adore Claire, so this is a win for me. The newsstand cover is actually better than the subscribers (below), but the potent blue and scarlet lips stand out, not in a good way. Love the styling,” approved Benn98.

Also quick to show the covers some love was ellastica: “I love the mood of both covers although on the sub’s cover Claire’s expression looks more maniacal à la Count Chocula rather than ebullient starlet. On the plus side, I appreciate, the full length shot with the out of focus effect on the foreground, which lends sort of a voyeuristic, stolen moment feel to the image. A subs cover sure, but they made an effort to think outside of the box, so kudos to UK Bazaar for that bit of daring!”
