Isabel Marant Runway Favorite Anna Ewers Scores a Long Overdue Campaign

Every season, our forums root for a model to secure a certain campaign and we couldn’t think of anyone more deserving than Anna Ewers to front Isabel Marant for Spring 2017. After all, she’s walked the show numerous times during Paris Fashion Week and closed the Marant show three times in a row since Spring 2016. Replacing Edie Campbell, Anna was shot by Dutch photographic duo Inez van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin for the occasion, heating up a New York kitchen before retreating back to the studio for the remaining campaign images.

“Finally! After three seasons closing the show she finally did it!” congratulation artemovartem the second the campaign dropped.

“I like it, Anna is beautiful and this collection was a very good one,” gossiping approved.

Also a fan of the outcome was zoom: “First campaign this season where Anna looks halfway decent and decided to show up and work it out a little.” Obviously making reference to Anna’s less than impressive Versace campaign with Edie Campbell.

Perickles liked what he was seeing too. “Very nice! I love the snapshot aesthetic,” he admired.

“Hmm… I don’t like it,” disagreed kokobombon. “Looks like a more grown up version of Alexander Wang’s ad campaigns IMO,” she stated.

“I was hoping for more after I read the title of the thread. It’s still good, like Anna by I&V always is,” reasoned dcmaike.

Feeling the same way was vogue28, replying, “My sentiments exactly but I am delighted Anna scored this. She is perfect for Isabel Marant…this campaign has been way overdue.”
