For issue #15 Spring/Summer 2017, Sofia Coppola is featured in one of Inez van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin’s timeless, elegant black and white portraits — and no surprise, we love it.

The cover was an instant hit with our forum members. “I just love her unique striking face, this is a gorgeous portrait!” Miss Dalloway applauded straight away.

“Love the bold red cover too. Looks strong,” added honeycombchild, also quick to show the cover some love.

“Beautiful portrait, then again, Sofia always photographs very well,” echoed a more than satisfied [Piece Of Me].

Sharing the same enthusiasm toward the cover was mistress_f: “Well, Sofia’s truly a perfect fit for this magazine. Can’t wait to see the contents, The Gentlewoman is one of the few magazines I’m still excited about!”

Xone made his feelings clear too, writing, “I love this magazine! Their ‘boring’ style is so cool.”

“If by boring you mean minimalistic then yes, it is very cool indeed!” replied GERGIN, feeling the same way.

“I love Sofia, so it’s nice to see her cover The Gentlewoman. However, I found Zadie Smith’s portrait on their last issue so much more striking,” pointed out 333101.

“I’ve seen better profiles of Coppola but she’s a great cover subject. I just know the content is going to deliver so it doesn’t even matter whether I like the cover shot honestly,” confessed dodencebt.
