A Baby-Faced Jean Campbell Is the Perfect Jacquemus Girl on Vogue Germany’s March Issue

Germany hasn’t exactly been killing it lately, producing a handful of questionable covers. With the unveiling of the March 2017 issue, however, the title appears to be showing signs of life. Photographed by Patrick Demarchelier, a baby-faced Jean Campbell makes her debut on German Vogue with a fresh and airy cover image. Styled by Sarajane Hoare, Jean models a crisp white cotton blouse topped with a large straw hat, both from Jacquemus.

Was the cover enough to win over our opinionated forum members? “I actually like it. I like the quirkiness of it. I love how she’s oddly placed on the right, yet it works. Cute hat. One thing though, the styling could have been better. The clothes are eating her up and it consumed a majority of the cover in a bad way,” voiced MON the second the cover dropped.

Sharing the same sentiments was forum member Benn98: “I like the mood of this shot! Some of the tweaks are bothering me though. The hat (which appears to hover on her head like a spaceship), and that overwrought top. Otherwise I’m quite happy to see Jean book another Vogue cover.”

Samoanceleb felt a little unsure as well. “Different…very 1981-82,” he pointed out.

“The layout is giving me the US Harper’s Bazaar realness,” said fluxxx, suggesting the layout was cluttered.

“WOW, what a nice cover! Great to see Jacquemus on Vogue, since it was a beautiful collection,” confessed sixtdaily.

YohjiAddict expressed the same view, writing, “Lovely cover, she’s a great fit for that Jacquemus collection, I’m actually curious to see the full edit.”

Also quick to voice their enthusiasm was Piet Retief: “It’s a cute cover, I like it!”

ChicSaks described the cover as the magazine’s “BEST ever!” showing the cover some major love.
