‘Supergirl’ Karlie Kloss Works Saint Laurent and Curls on the Cover of Vogue Australia

Our forums often complain about Vogue Australia’s tendency to eschew models on its covers (though last month featured a barely recognizable Cindy Crawford). So, as the magazine unveils its installment for April 2017, we were more than just a little pleased to see Karlie Kloss on the cover. The Vogue Australia team assembled photographer Benny Horne and stylist Christine Centenera to shoot the all-American beauty against a wall of graffiti while working a Saint Laurent dress and a head full of curls.

After seeing just a small preview of the cover, forum members were already applauding the outcome. “I like it already!! The art direction looks sleek and not too cluttered, there’s a ‘fashion’ vibe flowing, and I love the colors. It’s what I hope Vogue Paris would do on a regular basis,” approved Benn98 at once.

“I love it already from that small preview, and I loooooove Karlie’s hair and earrings,” added Bertrando3.

“Actually looks like a really good cover shot, reminds me of Karlie’s old high-fashion days and a lot better than some of the covers Vogue Australia has been producing recently,” described a pleasantly surprised 333101.

Echoing the sentiment was GreyVetiver. “Love that Karlie is getting some HF work again. And it’s a great improvement from recent Vogue Australia’s works.”

TeeVanity also liked what he saw, declaring, “Now this is what I am talking about, already a fan!”

“Always nice to see Karlie Kloss on the cover of Vogue since she’s someone who delivers time and time again. Major kudos to the art director who made the Vogue masthead resemble graffiti too, think it looks great and complements the surroundings perfectly. Love it!” stated vogue28.

“Looks good. It has a summery vibe,” enthused GivenchyHomme.
