Doutzen Kroes Stars on a Duo of Covers for Vogue Ukraine June 2017

Ukraine isn’t letting standards slip as it unveils a duo of covers for June 2017. Photographer Chris Colls, who deserves much of the credit for recent successful covers starring the likes of Anja Rubik and Amber Valletta, gives us another strong series of images with Doutzen Kroes for Vogue Ukraine’s latest. Shot on location in Miami, the Dutch beauty participates in a beach photoshoot with hairstylist Oribe Canales even making an appearance in the black and white cover (below).

Members of our forums weren’t exactly jumping for joy over the two covers, however. “I like the second cover (below), it’s perfectly captured for June. The art direction is too overbearing, something simple was needed. But I’m sure the editorial will be solid. That said, I am a bit over Doutzen looking ‘vulnerable’, it’s becoming very contrived,” voiced Benn98.

“I like the cover photos, the horrible yellow font (not talking about the yellow Vogue logo here)… not as much,” added StockholmFW.

“She is very beautiful… but why does she get so many Vogue covers?” questioned a disinterested KissMiss, shortly before adding, “I find her incredibly weak as a model!”

Tigerrouge chimed in: “Beauty like Doutzen’s never goes out of style, but I guess this is what a ‘bad’ shot of her looks like.”

“I like the second one but the first one is not a cover shot,” deemed a dumbfounded Bertrando3.

“I like them both, especially the second cover,” KateTheGreatest explained.

Nymphaea wrote, “I like it, a bit old Hollywood glamour. Not much fashion in sight unfortunately, but that means also no monstrosities!”

“Such a nonevent, but nice to see Oribe got the cover too,” acknowledged Miss Dalloway.
