Where’s the Glamour? Gigi Hadid, Taylor Hill, Mica Arganaraz and Vittoria Ceretti Pose for Versace’s Fall 2017 Campaign

Bruce Weber’s aesthetic must be working for Donatella Versace, as the new Fall 2017 campaign marks his third season shooting for Versace. Replacing Anna Ewers and Edie Campbell (and a pack of horses) from last season, Versace and Weber secured models Gigi Hadid, Taylor Hill, Mica Arganaraz and Vittoria Ceretti, while moving things indoors this time around.

The campaign, however, received a bashing on our forums. “Seriously, Bruce Weber again? It looks better than last season but I’m not a fan of that cast,” wrote an underwhelmed dodencebt.

“So random, nothing draws the eye,” pointed out Nymphaea.

“Ugh, at least when the clothes looked vomitory the photography somewhat made up for it. Now it’s bad on both fronts. Can’t Bruce Weber be sent into retirement? What is this? Versace’s approach to court the youth (as if they even needed to begin with!). And Vittoria looks oddly masculine here,” added forum member Benn98.

Also not enthusiastic toward the casting was badgalcrush: “OMG… Taylor Hill? Seriously? She is the worst, I don’t even know where to start. Wish the cast was [more] diverse!”

Lola701 wasn’t all too thrilled with the outcome either. “I didn’t like the collection so I don’t mind the campaign being tragic. This looks like DKNY. Donatella is such a confident women, it’s a pity that she needs to portray the Versace women as a teenager. We want Glamour!”
