We’re Obsessed With Chloe Sevigny’s First Vogue Cover Appearance

According to our hard-to-please forum members, Vogue Ukraine has been killing it lately, often surpassing its many sister editions of Vogue in terms of creativity, design and innovation. Recent covers have featured the likes of Anja Rubik, Amber Valletta and Doutzen Kroes, and now the Ukrainian glossy shows rival publications just how to showcase and profile celebrities in a whole new light. For August 2017, photographer Nan Goldin captured It girl/actress Chloe Sevigny swimming in Bulgari jewels for the magazine’s art-themed issue.

Our forum members were thrilled with the outcome. “I swear this is one of the most pleasant cover surprises ever. Chloe looks fantastic on the cover and the layout is very clean and beautiful,” applauded dodencebt.

“Wow after 20+ years as the ‘fashion icon’, she finally gets a Vogue cover! Vogue Ukraine always dares to go with the unexpected. I love this cover, love her expression, and the fact it’s not perfect, way less boring this way,” Miss Dalloway approved.

Vogue Ukraine confirms, once again, its ability to create something unexpected, daring and original. Sublime cover!” admired forum member apple.

Also enthusiastic toward the outcome was Benn98, raving, “I’m instantly obsessed with this shot! Everything works here. The outlandish idea of swimming with jewels, her expression, even the art direction. Good on them to book Nan Goldin.”

“Totally agree! A genuine style icon for Vogue, we don’t see that too much these days,” confessed magaddict.

“Now THAT is one gorgeous Vogue cover,” RedSmokeRise commented.

KateTheGreatest couldn’t have agreed more. “Love this cover, very unexpected but cool. Better this than fur covers in August,” she wrote.
