Edie Campbell Evokes the 60s on Vogue Paris’ September Cover

After two consecutive Gisele Bündchen covers from Vogue Paris, our forums didn’t know what to expect for the magazine’s September 2017 offering. Ending our suspense, the newest issue reveals Edie Campbell on the cover of the French fashion title. Photographed by David Sims with Emmanuelle Alt on styling duty, the British beauty (and current face of Michael Kors) stuns in the striking close-up cover image, giving us some serious 60s vibes wearing one of this season’s highly coveted feathered Prada headdresses.

“She’s [Emmanuelle Alt] got to be joking! This, a shot which looks like I’ve seen it countless times before and with such poor cropping? For September? Yikes!” slammed forum member Benn98 the moment the cover dropped.

“It had so much potential! The colors look lovely! I wish they used a shot where her stare has more power/impact. This looks like she’s about to fall asleep. I wish the angle was better. A bit of seduction would’ve helped. The dullness drags this cover to death,” complained MON.

Whippie disagreed. “I love it. Quite Jean Shrimpton in the 60s,” she pointed out.

“The cover is beautiful! Love the colors, love the 60s reference,” echoed maxlinden.

Nepenthes also loved the retro vibes, saying, “Gorgeous shot, love the color scheme and the nostalgic feel it has to it.”

“This is completely out of the blue. Love it!” praised Conbothsides.

“Love the cover, surprised to see Edie but Emmanuelle delivered. For me, this is September worthy and eye-catching,” declared Lola701.

“Can’t believe I’m saying this, but I actually quite like it. Edie looks good here,” confessed KateTheGreatest.
