Amber Valletta Delivers Two Old-School Covers for Harper’s Bazaar Spain

If there’s one thing about our forums, they just love to see the resurgence of 90s supermodels (aside from Claudia Schiffer‘s disaster of a September cover for Vogue Germany). So it should come as no surprise that the forums are buzzing about Amber Valletta fronting the October 2017 edition of Harper’s Bazaar Spain. Now that Editor-in-Chief Yolanda Sacristan has settled in, each issue has been stronger than the last (though we’re still in love with the Adriana Lima cover from July) and with Greg Kadel capturing Amber for two covers, Bazaar is hoping to earn another win. The regular newsstand cover (below) features Amber wearing a velvet green Dolce & Gabbana pantsuit while she works a sexier Saint Laurent number on the cover for subscribers (after the jump).

“I’m so buying this,” said a delighted Wintergreen upon seeing the cover.

“Really cool cover,” added forum member liaa.

Echoing the same enthusiasm was Khabeer: “This looks like OLD SCHOOL Tom Ford circa 1996 Amber! I’m here for it!

Anlabe32 felt the same way. “Well, this is a great cover in my opinion. Very 90s indeed and Amber looks amazing as usual,” she enthused.

Yet after a select few of our forum members digested the cover, they began to pick out some faults. “The styling, hair and makeup and well basically everything feels reeeaaaallly dated to me,” complained a far from overjoyed happycanadian. “I like the image, Amber looks great as always, that suit looks pretty luxe. But if you told me this was a cover from 2002 I’d believe it.”

“I think she looks cool, but the cover isn’t cool. The pose has been done to death, they literally took 20 years off her with Photoshop, and the gray/white combo doesn’t do the outfit justice,” voiced Benn98.

“That’s Amber? I thought it was Carmen Kass!” exclaimed MON, also hinting some heavy post-production had occurred.
