Taylor Hill Strikes an Awkward Pose on Vogue Spain’s January Cover

Spain has been very hit or miss of late, producing covers that often fail to hit the mark (but certainly not Raquel Zimmermann‘s recent cover). After a passable Luna Bijl offering last month, the title welcomes Taylor Hill as its first cover girl of 2018. The Victoria’s Secret Angel and Michael Kors favorite was photographed in the studio by Bjorn Iooss wearing a fabulous floor-length Carolina Herrera creation in the unconventional full-length newsstand cover shot.

Members of our forums weren’t impressed with the cover. “That dress is too much for Taylor, her awkward pose shows it all. And it’s very similar to the lookbook shot. Not a winning look nor cover. Come to think of it, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a really good cover of hers,” noted Benn98.

“Not a cover-worthy shot, she is stunning, but this is such a nonevent for me. In fact, the new editor-in-chief [Eugenia de la Torriente] seems to lack the talent for striking cover images. I don’t like that dress either,” said an underwhelmed Miss Dalloway.

“The new EIC is amazing journalist but that doesn’t necessarily translate to a great EIC. She needs someone who can find better and more striking images to use as covers,” critiqued Xone.

Echoing the same sentiments was Valentine27: “This image doesn’t work as a cover. Hate this dress too!”

“Could someone teach her to AT LEAST pose well?” asked Bertrando3.

Also left far from impressed was 333101. “She looks gorgeous, but the posing is a little awkward, like you can tell she doesn’t feel comfortable in the clothes,” she described.
