Kasia Smutnaik Stars on Vogue Poland’s Carefree Summer Covers

Despite last month’s Adwoa Aboah disaster, you have to commend Vogue Poland for at least trying something new with each cover since the inaugural issue back in March. Now five issues in, the publication counts the likes of Eva Herzigova and Natalia Vodianova as cover girls and now gives up its double July/August 2018 edition to Polish actress Kasia Smutnaik (you have to love a magazine that champions homegrown talent). Photographed by Stanislaw Boniecki and styled in Céline by Daniela Agnelli, Kasia embraces the mood of summer in the gleeful and carefree newsstand cover (below) and appears just as effortless in the black and white subscribers cover (after the jump).

Our forums were a divided bunch once the covers dropped. “Now, this is beautiful. Totally into it,” raved Miss Dalloway.

“So pure and clean, I love it,” added Nomar.

“Way too plain and white for a Vogue cover. Loathe saying this, but where’s the fashion?” asked an unimpressed Benn98.

Sharing the same sentiments toward the outcome was forum member zacatecas570. “This is very DULL! I don’t like when models don’t looks directly at the camera on covers. Too much white,” he pointed out.

“Looks like an album cover by a county singer,” GivenchyHomme added.

Nocturnal most definitely wasn’t a fan, stating, “This is embarrassing!”

“It’s refreshing they don’t want to copy another edition. They follow their own way and I would always be down for this. Maybe this is the beginning of something we will get used to and appreciate. I’ve seen so far models with personality, I can’t complain,” Tony Fersen reasoned.

“I love this! Yes, it’s not about the fashion seen on this particular picture, it’s about a feeling, but this feeling is completely selling me the magazine. And I get an idea of the light summer fashion it could portray inside,” defended June.
