Milla Jovovich and Photographer An Le Work Wonders for Balmain’s Fall 2018 Campaign

It seems Olivier Rousteing has finally heard our desperate pleas for him to put down the camera. After shooting Balmain’s advertising campaigns for two consecutive seasons, he has opted for a professional for Fall 2018. Eschewing past collaborators Steven Klein and Mario Sorrenti, An Le was selected to shoot the latest campaign starring Milla Jovovich, a refreshing change from Rousteing’s usual suspects. The actress and model was photographed at a derelict warehouse, striking some dynamic poses in the series of images for the French fashion house.

Members of our forums were pleasantly surprised. “Gosh, she’s just so ageless! Not the best shot of her, but it holds promise. I like the angle, and the lightness (a rarity for Balmain!), and I’m glad they hired a proper photographer,” Benn98 said.

“Not bad at all,” confessed mikel.

“Well it’s certainly better than what we saw from Balmain the previous seasons,” added sixtdaily.

Also impressed with the outcome was Zposen: “This is actually pretty good… the simple styling actually shows off the clothes well and Milla looks gorgeous! YES for Olivier to start using professional photographers again for the campaign!”

“Milla and An Le are really elevating this… funny what a real photographer and model can do,” pointed out zoom.

Mathiasktaz felt the same way, posting, “Happy for An Le! Looks much better than Olivier’s past campaigns.”

“Very clean and slick. It’s a nice change. This collection could have looked really tacky, instead Milla makes it look chic,” GivenchyHomme said.
