Vogue France June/July 2022 : Raquel Zimmermann by Theo de Gueltzl

Raquel Zimmermann Transports Us to Saint-Tropez via Vogue France’s June/July 2022 Cover

As Vogue France’s head of editorial content, Eugénie Trochu has divided our forums. Admittedly, covers with Aya Nakamura, Isabelle Huppert and Laetitia Casta have won us over, while installments with Mika Schneider and Akon Changkou have left us shaking our heads. For its highly-anticipated double summer issue for June/July 2022, the magazine welcomes forum favorite Raquel Zimmermann captured in Saint-Tropez at sunset down by the shoreline through the lens of Théo de Gueltzl. The Brazilian beauty sports a look from Jacquemus courtesy of stylist Emilie Kareh for the serene cover photo.

The cover leaves members of our forums conflicted. “Well, that’s one hideous cover. Raquel’s hair is holding on for dear life there!” voiced aracic.

“Feels like a former mermaid who really regrets her decision to live on dry land,” quipped tigerrouge.

“Hmm, I’m really trying to love this because it’s Raquel, but…” said justaguy.

“This is THE Raquel Zimmermann. How dare they do this to her,” declared Cocteau Stone.

Although not everyone is underwhelmed. “Not sure why all the hate, I think it’s lovely. Very dramatic, like a still from a movie,” admired MyNameIs.

“I’ve always wanted Raquel to land a June/July French Vogue cover and it’s finally happened. The cover gives me realistic vibes of ‘The Birth of Venus’ painting,” Aedlacir pointed out.

“I love it! Love the hair, the pose, the colors, the facial expression. For me everything works. Always nice to see Raquel!” exclaimed guimon.

“I like it. It’s eye-catching and I like the colors and movement,” approved BlueRuin.
