So, now that we've resigned ourselves to the maybe sad fact that Kanye West is showing a womenswear collection on the runway in Paris next week, we've got to deal with the announcement that Lady Gaga is debuting her new "short film" at Thierry Mugler's Paris womenswear show.
Mugler designer and Lady Gaga's best pal, Nicola Formichetti, directed the project, and it was filmed by the uber-talented Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin. If you're too busy or bored with Lady Gaga or unfamous to make it for the event, a re-edited version will be be available online the next day.
As if they care about the final product even less than I do, the creative team hasn't released any actual details about the concept or subject of the film. Making things about things is not exactly up Gaga's alley: the pop star doesn't make art, she makes hype. And so, we can safely assume that she'll be on camera at all times and wearing clothes most of the time. Radical.
