Jason Wu for Target [LOOKBOOK]

Made of a good mix of painfully cute dresses and versatile, chic seperates, the collection includes an accessories component: I’d carry those handbags with me everywhere, all at the same time, and roll around in the scarves. But even though Target has long excelled at partnering with designers and building up hype for their collaborations, the retailer has been less successful at actually selling the clothes to consumers. Last year’s Missoni for Target release broke servers, incited some mob scenes, and made the retailer a few enemies after customers experienced purchase cancellations after months of delays. Jason Wu for Target looks great — but based on Target’s track record, most of us will probably have to look on from afar, even at the retailer’s affordable price point.

The collection hits stores on Sunday, February 5, in case you’re feeling ambitious.
