So this is stunning. Naomi Campbell is known for her intense disposition, which is both a euphemism for her tabloid scandals and just plain true, and she doesn't compromise an inch of that ferocity on the May 2013 cover of Vogue Brazil. The model is styled in a black cross-strap one-piece with cut-outs, beachy bleach blonde hair blowing in the … studio wind-machines. There are a couple things that are particularly remarkable about this cover: 1) The fact that Campbell is a bonafide supermodel and impossibly gorgeous makes it easy to forget she's also a 42-year-old black woman, covering an edition of Vogue in a bathing suit. MOAR. 2) It's hard to pull off an "edgy" summer cover, and this one's unexpected and unconventional for its dark and dramatic mood.
My one objection: Those twinned pearl cluster bracelets look like (tacky) costume jewelry and the floral embellishment is an unneccessary flourish. Still, viva Naomi for real.
