As it happens, this was not Lauer’s first time gender-bending for Halloween. In 2004, the TV presenter appeared on The Today Show dressed up as Paris Hilton, chihuahua and all. (The Today Show website points out that Lauer wore a Jennifer Lopez x green Versace dress costume in 2000.) In recent years, he’s also dressed up as Prince William, Han Solo, Humpty Dumpty and Frankenstein.
