Vivienne Westwood may have become somewhat synonymous with British fashion thanks to constantly setting the fashion scene alight with her quirky creations over the years. She is also widely recognized for her own flamboyant sense of personal style but sometimes, people forget about all of the hard work that she does to help charities and promote ethical fashion.
Westwood’s latest venture is called, Ethical Africa. It’s a collection created from all things recyclable such as unused leather cut-offs and reused roadside banners, and it’s all been created in Nairobi, Kenya by women in communities affected by extreme poverty. It’s also collaboration with ASOS, so, you can peruse the entire collection and perhaps snap up your very own ethical piece over on the ASOS site.
The collection starts from around £58 and features perfectly on-trend rucksacks, as well as handy totes or clutches. And of course, each of the designs have been finished in some way with Westwood’s signature motif. So, the pieces are perfect for the Westwood fan that also likes to do their own bit for charity.
