The Latest Dumb Chanel Accessory from the Dubai Cruise Show: A Bag Modeled After a Gas Can

Here’s one of the images we spotted streaming out of Dubai where Chanel is currently hosting its Cruise 2015 collection runway show: It’s a quilted Chanel bag shaped like a gas can. Get it? Because there’s lots of oil in that part of the world — what incisive commentary! As we all know, it isn’t a Chanel show without crude regional stereotyping in accessory form (Dubai’s economy was built on oil, but petroleum and natural gas currently account for less than 2% of the emirate’s GDP). Whatever. If Karl wants to play the enfant terrible with his Middle Eastern customer base, I’m sure he knows what he’s doing.
