Just days ago at the Cannes Lions International Advertizing Festival, Kanye West dished on some behind-the-scenes happenings at his wedding to Kim Kardashian, particularly about the photo of the pair sharing a kiss that was posted to Instagram (which became the most 'liked' picture in history). West says it took him four days to produce (yes, four days out of their honeymoon over some picture SMH), as Annie Leibovitz abruptly pulled out of photographing the ceremony and West still wanted the pictures to have the shutterbug's trademark filter. “I think that she was, like, scared of the idea of celebrity," West offered as an explanation for her marked absence.
Well, Leibovitz's people have come out to respond to West's comments, and it turns out that Annie was never officially commissioned to lens the nuptials. “She would have loved to have taken their wedding portrait and was disappointed it didn’t happen," a rep for Leibovitz explains. Kanye's people say that Leibovitz wasn't even confirmed for the wedding in the first place: “Although Kanye expressed frustration that he was not able to collaborate with Annie Leibovitz at his recent wedding, he is not assigning blame, and is not accusing Annie in any way. Unbeknownst to Kanye, she was never confirmed. Kanye and Annie’s representatives were in negotiations for weeks that were not completed by the time of the wedding,”
Oh really? Sounds like someone is about to lose their job over at Kanye, Inc.!
