Aquazzura and Olivia Palermo Team Up for Capsule Collection

Style darling Olivia Palermo is bringing her eye to the world of footwear, lending her talents to the folks at Aquazzura by collaborating on a capsule collection due out late this summer. With the help of designer Edgardo Osorio, Olivia will launch a six-style range aptly dubbed Aquazzura x Olivia Palermo. According to WWD, the collection seems to have come about organically, as Osorio mentions that Olivia was already pretty much the brand’s “unofficial ambassador,” on account of how often she’s been spied wearing its shoes. It makes sense then, that she would be tapped to design for the brand.

The range is set to hit shelves come September 12, with plans to roll out the range in department stores like Saks Fifth Avenue and Holt Renfrew. If you’re not a brick-and-mortar type, the collection will also be available at Net-a-Porter. From the collection, expect slick, over-the-knee boots, sparkly jeweled sandals, booties, pumps and even a pair of gladiators. According to Olivia, prices for the pieces are meant to be reasonable, but what’s reasonable to someone who typically spends $600 to $1,625 on a pair of shoes might not be the same for your average Joe whose monthly rent falls into that price range.

“Everything is so expensive these days and you still want to have things that you can find and have quality and the design aesthetic and be happy,” she told WWD

These shoes must be super high-quality. Sounds like now’s a good time to start saving up your precious dollars for this collection…
