As if New York Fashion Week wasn’t busy enough, the folks at Three Lions Entertainment are about to make it a helluva lot more hectic. The firm announced today that it will be resurrecting Fashion Rocks this year, the concert showcasing the best in music and fashion, at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on September 9. Airing live on CBS, they’ve already signed Ryan Seacrest to host the affair.
“Fashion Rocks is the only show that celebrates the inextricable link between fashion and music, a relationship that is more relevant today than ever before,” said Richard Beckman, CEO of Three Lions Entertainment in a statement. “For the first time we’ll air the event live during Fashion Week from Barclays Center. It will be a spectacular affair, featuring some of the world’s most talented musicians as well as today’s hottest fashions.”
For two hours, be dazzled by fly fashion set to the music of Jennifer Lopez, Rita Ora, Duran Duran, Usher, Kiss, Pitbull, Nico & Vinz, The Band Perry, Afrojack, Miranda Lambert and more — there are still acts yet to be announced.
Fashion Rocks last aired in 2008, and included performances by Beyoncé, Justin Timberlake, Rihanna and more.
Jazzed yet? Tickets for the event go on sale August 1, which you can cop at Tickemaster or the Barclays Center’s site. But if you’re content with watching from the comfort of your living room, you can catch the two-hour broadcast September 9 starting at 9/8 C on CBS.
