Custom Tailor Indochino Sets Up Camp with Toronto Showroom

Beginning August 1, Indochino will set up camp at 425 King Street West, where it will house a showroom and once again offer its unique selection of one-of-a-kind garments. How will it work? Well, men are invited to book half-hour appointments to get measured, receive styling advice, view products and build a unique custom suit with the help of a personal stylist. Once they receive their garment four weeks later, customers can book follow-up appointments for fit checks and update their measurement profile as their weight fluctuates (after those long weekend BBQs).

Need I emphasize how great of an idea this is for any upcoming wedding parties? The women of the big day can head over to Amanda-Lina’s Sposa Boutique in Woodbridge for a Say Yes to the Dress experience (they’re still looking for participants), while the guys can indulge in some made-to-measure suit shopping for their perfect bro-date.

“We owe it to Toronto to launch the next stage of our adventure in the city,” says Kyle Vucko, Indochino’s CEO and co-founder in a press release. “It’s been one of our best markets right from the start, we have a loyal customer base, plus our pop-up event earlier this year was our most successful ever. We have ambitious plans for our showrooms and are excited to find out where we’ll be a year or two down the line.

“Our pop-up events introduced guys to the Indochino way of getting styled, measured, and dressed. We want to extend that experience with the showroom and develop long-term relationships with our guys by helping them to perfect the fit of their garment and build a unique wardrobe over time.”

This opening also coincides with the launch of Indochino’s Fall 2014 collection, which will be exclusively displayed in Toronto. As for the all-important price point, in keeping with the travelling tailor concept, suits will start at $449 and shirts from $79. Appointments can be booked by following this link.
