Temperley London’s Fashion Film for Net-a-Porter Will Change the Way You Shop Online

Launching today, the film was directed by Alice and shot by her filmmaker brother, Henry Temperley. It presents a real fairy tale of fashion as models explore and prance around before heading to one of the designer’s infamous summer parties. Laura Bailey, Caroline Issa and Jade Parfitt are among the women modeling the sequined, embroidered masterpieces from Temperley London’s ready-to-wear and bridal collections along with three key exclusive pieces made for the luxury shopping site.

The best bit is that whenever you fancy seeing more of any particular item, you simply double click the screen and you can choose to look at more details or save your “liked” item to look at later as you carry on watching, before making your purchases through your Net-a-Porter account. Fashion films such as this tend to focus more on the overall story rather than the items, so this ability to stop and take a better look could prove very handy, although you still have to click fast to select the right piece.

Cinematique, the company behind this, has worked with the likes of Alexander Wang and Maiyet before, but this is the first British brand to showcase this watch-click-shop technology.

Speaking about the collaboration, Alice said, “I am delighted to be working with Net-a-Porter. Our exclusive collaboration with Cinematique came about very organically, during a recent trip to New York. The digital, technical and creative vision between all of us worked from the very beginning, and it felt like the perfect collaboration. We’re doing something innovative and ground-breaking, but also really fun.”

Whether you are enthralled by the exciting tech behind it or not, the film and the Temperley London collections are dreamy enough to keep you watching, and hopefully get you shopping.
