Will You Be Wearing Coloured Lipstick This Liptember?

We know it can be a bit nerve-wracking to rock a bold lip. But this September, there’s a great cause encouraging you to jump aboard the courageous beauty trend. Liptember is taking place to start the conversation about mental health issues and raise the much-needed funds for research and support programs. With so many women facing mental health issues which arise from things like new parenting, anxiety, depression and relationship troubles, it’s definitely an initiative you’ll want to support.

Just visit your local Chemist Warehouse, My Chemist, My Beauty Spot or Fernwood Fitness and buy an official Liptember lipstick for just $4.95. There’s a range of rainbow-coloured shades to choose from, and it’s a quirky and effective way to bring public attention to a significant issue.

If coloured lipstick really isn’t your thing, you can show your support by sponsoring a friend or simply donating toward the cause through the Liptember website. Donations go toward Lifeline and the Centre for Women’s Mental Health. Last year, Liptember raised over $400,000 and brought Lydia Lassila, Jo Silvagni, Sophie Faulkner and Molly Meldrum on board to support the cause.

You can also get amongst the shameless selfie bandwagon by posting #liptember with a nice bright pout. If you were looking for an excuse to take a photo of yourself, there it is.
