Watch: Chanel’s ‘Reincarnation’ Film Is Here

Chanel’s big film project with Cara Delevingne and Pharrell Williams is finally here in full. The over seven-minute feature tells the story of how Coco Chanel (played by Geraldine Chaplin) got the inspiration to make the French fashion house’s famous little black jacket. The scene takes place at a hotel in Salzburg, where Coco notices the jacket worn by a bellhop (Pharrell) one afternoon. The next morning, she resolves to create one for herself.

Overnight, two paintings hanging in the lobby, one of Austrian Emperor Franz Joseph I (Pharrell) and one of Empress Elisabeth of Austria (Cara), come to life, and the pair waltz all evening while singing “CC the World,” an original score Pharrell wrote especially for the film. Cara D flexes her acting and singing abilities in the film, playing a clumsy waitress as well as an empress. She sings the second verse of the duet, adding her own soulful touches to the tune.

Watch the entire thing (finally!) above.
