What a shame. It was only last year that Matthew opened up on ABC’s Family Confidential, saying, “I love her to death, and I just want to see her more,” while mother Therese and father John explained that they had not had a family dinner with Miranda in over a year.
We’re assuming her demanding globe-trotting schedule prevented an appearance from his one and only sister, but, even still, it seems like the show went on without her.
Mum Therese wrote to her Instagram, “@mattykerr26 @jimmy2611red had their engagement party at Blackburn Park in Sydney and it was the most magical of days. The beautiful energy that filled the park was testimony to the love that is so apparent for Jimmy and Matty – thank you to all who attended and made this day so very special xxx.”
Several Instagram snaps followed, including a shout-out to Miranda with an image which read, “No matter how old my daughter gets, she’ll always be my baby girl”. We guess there’s no hard feelings for her no-show behaviour.
We hope she can make it to the wedding.
