Renowned makeup brand Urban Decay is looking to contribute more to womankind besides its much-loved Naked eyeshadow palettes. The cosmetics giant is teaming up with Gwen Stefani to promote The Ultraviolet Edge, a global campaign that raises money for charities that empower women. Urban Decay is looking to amass three million dollars in the next five years to support these initiatives with hopes of donating $500,000 in the first year.
Urban Decay is starting the fundraising with a new version of its popular Eyeshadow Primer Potion, releasing it in a limited-edition matte shade, Enigma, from which 100 percent of the proceeds will benefit charities like the Women’s Global Empowerment Fund.
As for Gwen’s involvement, she was chosen to represent the brand because of her cool-girl image and dedication to making the world a better place for women. “We dig Gwen’s innate ability to set trends and defy expectations. She also shares our passion for empowering women and will help give this initiative the attention it deserves.”
You can support the cause by purchasing a tube of Enigma at the Urban Decay website.
