JOLIE Handbags and Fashion Illustrator Jocelyn Teng Team Up for Le Sac Travel Totes

A shopper does not a designer make, but a lawyer? Wonderfully so. JOLIE was founded by former lawyer Ivy Chen, who swapped late nights with legal files for late nights with leather. “The legal world seems glamorous, especially on TV, but it’s totally different from fashion — I don’t regret it for one second,” she says of launching her line of streamlined leather carry-on bags with rolling wheels and multi-compartments.

For Spring 2015, she has launched her Le Sac collection bags at TNT in Toronto’s Yorkville neighbourhood andan e-shop online. Her goal? To help the stylish business traveler — lawyer or otherwise — with accessories that are completely versatile and stylish. Her two-way reversible leather totes that include a removable interior clutch ($295) and a dual flip closure oversized clutch ($100) with a subtle, yet totally utilitarian, hand sleeve handle for easy carrying.

The bags and clutches are made even more special with bespoke illustrations by Toronto-based illustrator Jocelyn Teng, who has worked with Line Knitwear, Louis Vuitton and Hudson’s Bay. Teng gives each bag a bespoke touch with one-of-a-kind illustrations ($60 each, made-to-order).

“This collaboration with Jocelyn Teng is unique and really something that our customers are looking forward to,” says Chen. “Her amazing work coupled with our multifunctional bags brings this collection to the next level.”
