Rihanna Tells V Magazine What She’s Been Doing During Her So-called ‘Time Off’

Rihanna hasn’t put out an album since 2012, but she is back and bolder than ever. After releasing tracks like “FourFiveSeconds” and “Bitch Better Have my Money,” Riri is poised to make a much-anticipated return to the music scene, and as magazine’s latest cover star, she’s talking about her new sound and what she’s been doing all these years – besides not releasing any solo albums.

“I didn’t actually take time off. The past two years are the hardest I’ve ever worked,” she said. “I’ve been working on two albums, an animated film, shooting for multiple magazines, designing for Puma and Stance [socks], a new line of fragrances, a summer tour, I launched my first annual Diamond Ball at the end of last year, and I’ve also been developing several projects to be revealed in the near future.”

Riri has been a busy bee, but she doesn’t look any worse for the wear on the Steven Klein-shot cover and the accompanying vibrant spread styled by Carlyne Cerf de Dudzeele. V magazine 95 is set to hit newsstands May 7, but in the meantime, check out this sneak peek of the story in the gallery below.
