Iggy Azalea Finally Explains Why She Cancelled Her US Tour

Iggy Azalea has revealed why she cancelled her first arena tour in the US, and it’s got nothing to do with an illness or her upcoming wedding.

Speaking to Seventeen magazine, Iggy said she decided against proceeding with her Great Escape tour because she’s “had a different creative change of heart.”

Following news of the cancellation last Friday, Iggy explained, “I want to start totally anew, and if I stayed on my tour, that would mean I wouldn’t even be able to start working on that until after Christmas.”

She also just needs a mental time out, which is understandable considering her insane, non-stop schedule over the past two years. “I just feel I deserve a break,” she said.

“It’s very emotionally draining to be on all the time and going all the time, planning all the time. It’s a lot, and it’s tough,” she continued. “I need a break from everything to just enjoy what I worked so hard for, and I don’t really feel like I’ve had a chance to do that.”

“I need a break to figure out what I want my sound to progress to, and I need a break to figure out how I want my visuals to progress.”

Now when she comes back with her new record and tour in 2016, expectation will be bigger than ever. Here’s hoping she can meet it.
