New Study: People Who Wear Skinny Jeans Are More Confident than You Are

Who knew the kind of denim you like to wear could say so much about your personality? According to a study, if you’re not wearing skinny jeans, you’re insecure and sad – or at least less confident and sadder than those who do prefer skinny jeans. And here we were thinking we just thought boyfriend jeans and pumps were a cute look.

A study done by Qualtrics says that people who wear tighter-fitting skinny jeans are 12 percent more likely to describe themselves as “extremely or very confident,” compared to those who prefer other styles of jeans. The study also found that skinny jeans wearers are 9 percent more likely than others to report the highest levels of happiness.

But it’s not all doom and gloom for those who prefer a bootcut, flare or boyfriend jean. The survey also found that wearers of skinny jeans are 7 percent less likely to recycle. So even though you’re probably sitting on your couch in your flared Rag & Bone jeans right now, crying into a bottle of wine and a pint of Ben & Jerry’s, at least you can rest assured that you’re doing a better job to save the planet.
