Down Syndrome Model Madeline Stuart Lands Two Jobs in a Week

You might remember Madeline Stuart, the Brisbane-born teen with down syndrome, who gained an impressive online following after sharing her inspiring journey to becoming a successful fashion model. She has continued to challenge the limitations faced by those living with disabilities, and the hard work has been paying off, as the bubbly redhead has announced not one, but two, modelling gigs in the space of a week.

Madeline’s story struck a chord with American fitness-wear manufacturer Manifesta, a brand which promotes inclusiveness and creates exercise clothing for women of all shapes and sizes. The company is excited to have her represent their brand, saying on its Tumblr, “Just as Madeline is committed to expanding people’s ideas of what a model can be, Manifesta is determined to show that the clothing and fashion industry doesn’t have to be exclusionary.”

But that’s not all for the 18-year-old beauty. She will also represent everMaya, a lifestyle brand which are proud to have a spokeswoman of Madeline’s integrity to represent its core values. The brand claims via their blog, “She is an inspiration to us all, and we are so very fortunate to have her as part of the everMaya team!”

With her love of working out and killing it in hip-hop class, Madeline is the perfect spokesperson to represent the fun and colourful lifestyle brands. We think it’s pretty great that Madeline is being booked not only because she is gorgeous, but because her values are considered inspirational by companies which are actively promoting inclusion and equality.
