Watch: Liam Hemsworth and Kate Winslet Get Up Close and Personal in Debut Trailer for ‘The Dressmaker’

Liam Hemsworth and fashion combined is too good to be true for a Monday morning, right? Wrong. The first official trailer for The Dressmaker, an upcoming film about haute couture in 1950s Australia, has been released starring Hemsworth himself and the one and only Kate Winslet.

Winslet plays an experienced dressmaker, named Tilly Dunnage, who has worked for years in exclusive fashion houses around the world.

She returns home to the tiny town of Dungatar to right her past wrongs and battle a haunting scandal, but unexpectedly falls in love with Hemsworth’s character, Teddy McSwiney, as you do.

“I reckon you could make some bloke pretty happy,” Hemsworth tells Winslet in the trailer, and you also get to see him topless so yay for that.

But that cougar chemistry between the 39-year-old and 25-year-old isn’t even the half of this trailer. Tilly’s sewing machine and sense of style also allows her to transform the women of the town through fashion, proving those who think, “A dress can’t change anything” wrong.

The film is based on the best-selling novel by Rosalie Ham. Filmed entirely in Victoria, the film features some of Australia’s acting elite like Sarah SnookHugo Weaving, Judy Davis, Barry Otto, Rebecca Gibney and Shane Jacobson

The Dressmaker hits Australian cinemas on October 22, 2015. Until then, peep the trailer below.
