3 Pairs of Iconic Alexander McQueen Armadillo Boots Going up for Auction

If you shed a tear in 2010 at the notion of never being able to purchase Alexander McQueen’s Armadillo boots, Christie’s auction house is giving you a chance to take home a pair. The impossibly high platform boots were the talk of McQueen’s Spring 2010 collection and now, Christie’s is auctioning off three pairs in support of UNICEF’s work to help rebuild Nepal. Only 21 pairs of the shoes were originally made for a lucky few.

Starting today, you can bid on the shoes, as well as other pricey designer goods in Christie’s handbags & accessories category. The Italian-made shoes are made of wood and python skin and all the proceeds will go to UNICEF. The starting bid on the eye-catching footwear is $10,000 USD – a pretty penny for some savagely beautiful footwear. You can bid from now until July 23 when the auction ends.

Hope your pockets are extra deep!
