Mina Gerges’ Instagram @keepingupwithmina shows him posing as various celebs in homemade versions of their luxury garments. Gerges has posed as Katy Perry in Moschino’s Fall campaign, Rihanna on the cover of V magazine, Lady Gaga at the 2011 CFDA awards and more. Gerges completes the looks with hair and makeup, nailing each celebrity’s pose perfectly. But most impressive is Gerges’ ability to use regular materials to reimagine memorable celebrity looks. His remake of Beyoncé’s 2015 Met Gala dress was created with a garbage bag and rhinestones. And his effort isn’t going without due praise. Mashable mentions that some of the celebrities he’s posed as have reposted images of his work.

Of course, Gerges has received negative feedback from body shaming, homophobic trolls online, but that doesn’t discourage him: “I realized… that I was going to keep doing these pictures to push the agenda on gendered expectations that police us into acting or dressing a certain way in order to fit in,” he said. “You should celebrate and embrace your individuality.”
