Australian model Elyse Knowles has been announced as Macquarie Centre’s first-ever official ambassador, since the shopping destination completed its $440 million redevelopment late last year.
Elyse will help with the creative direction of Macquarie Centre’s Spring 2015 Fashion Launch on August 27, alongside Vogue Australia creative consultants and fashion bloggers, Tanja Gacic and Talisa Sutton. All three fashion influencers attended the model castings this week.
“It was so fun to be involved in the casting,” Elyse said in a news release. “We saw some gorgeous guys and girls who will inject the show with fun personality and edge.”
Macquarie Centre is currently home to the most international brands out of any shopping centre in Australia, including stores like H&M, UNIQLO, Forever 21, Gap, Sephora, Victoria’s Secret, and Zara.
With so many recognisable brands in its nest, the centre is aiming to position itself as the first place for everything fashion with a campaign called “Lead the Way”. The upcoming fashion parade will kick off the initiative.
Macquarie Centre’s senior marketing manager, Emma Giammarco, said in a news release, “At Macquarie Centre we are focused on leading the way in fashion for the upcoming spring summer season, and working with Elyse is a perfect expression of this as when it comes to fashion she personifies style and leadership.”
She continued, “It’s also fantastic to have the opportunity to work with Tanja and Talisa, who between them bring so much creativity and style expertise to the team.”
We can’t wait to watch the show, and hopefully see how international and local brands can complement one another for a covetable summer outfit.
