Keira Knightley, Lupita Nyong’o and Lena Dunham Clean Out Their Closets for a Cause

If you’ve ever wanted to wear Lupita Nyong’o’s red Ralph Lauren cape dress or Keira Knightley’s Chanel ruffled gown, this might be your chance. They join celebrities like Emma Watson, Diane Kruger, Lena Dunham and Olivia Palermo who are selling pieces from their wardrobe to benefit Wardrobes for Women. The organization, a collaboration between Vestiaire Collective and Women for Women International, seeks to empower women in war-torn areas. Wardrobes for Women will equip them with resources and skills to establish a new life for themselves.

Knightley told Vogue she’s excited about giving her clothes a new, deserving owner: “It’s a pity when beloved clothes sit dormant in my closet, so I am thrilled to be a part of Wardrobes for Women to give these clothes a new life,” she said. “I love the simple elegance of this silk Prada dress, I wore it to a friend’s birthday and it made me feel like a dream, I hope whoever ends up with this item will love it as much as I have.” Shoppers will also find Lupita Nyong’o’s Miu Miu wares, Lena Dunham’s Lanvin cocktail dress and Emma Watson’s Derek Lam check dress among the items up for grabs.

The Wardrobe for Women Christmas sale will run from December 3 to 14 and all proceeds will benefit the organization. Other participating celebrities include Chloë Sevigny, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Dree Hemmingway Caroline Issa, Charlotte Dellal and Chiara Ferragni. Head to Vestiaire Collective to shop for a good cause.
