Chris Martin isn’t letting claims of cultural appropriation in his latest video with Beyoncé get him down. Ahead of his upcoming Superbowl performance, the Coldplay frontman was silly as ever in a taping of Carpool Karaoke that aired last night on The Late Late Show with James Corden.
And while no one can top Adele’s edition (or One Direction for that matter), Chris Martin sure comes close. After bumming a ride to his Super Bowl performance, Martin runs through famous tunes like Yellow, an amazing cover of David Bowie’s Heroes and a hilarious impersonation of Bruce Springsteen and Mick Jagger.
Song covers aside, Chris Martin’s Carpool Karaoke segment is unlike any other. The twosome stop at a lemonade stand, a gas station and a motel where Corden ends up singing Martin to sleep as they cuddle (we’re serious). And they’re forced to continue the carpool session on a bike once their ride gets stolen. That happened. Watch the hilarious 15-minute clip above.
