Kendall Jenner’s Wax Figure Is Helping Diehard Fans Experience Fashion Week

If you’ve ever helped create a runway show, you’ll know that it’s not as glamorous as everyone thinks. But that’s not stopping fashion-lovers from dropping into Madame Tussauds’ latest London installation, a “Fashion Week experience”, where the museum replicates the true essence of catwalk events with flashing cameras, high-fashion models and luxury labels.

Called #WaxCaKe, the “multi-sensory experience” includes Kendall Jenner getting glammed up backstage, Cara Delevingne on the runway and Vogue US editor Anna Wintour sitting front row. The whole place is decked out with the essentials, like racks of clothes, hair and makeup stations, stressed out Kelly Cutrone clones on their walkie-talkies – the whole shebang.

“It was amazing, we got to actually walk to catwalk and all the cameras were flashing and you got to be quite sassy down the catwalk, like Cara and Kendall,” one customer beamed. “It really feels like I’ve met Cara and Kendall. I’ve met CaKe,” another added.

The exhibit officially opened today, just in time for London Fashion Week’s kickoff next week. If you happen to be around you can buy tickets here, because if anyone can make walking in heels two sizes too small, or the soaring anxiety levels when you’ve double booked a front row seat, look remotely appealing, it’s got to be those wax folk.
