Finally! You Can Now Switch Between Multiple Instagram Accounts

Instagram is hands down the fashion industry’s most beloved social platform but it has its drawbacks. Until this week, you couldn’t even switch between accounts without the hassle of logging in and out each time. But alas, change has finally come.

The photo and video-sharing platform officially announced multi-account switching with the latest iOS update (version 7.15). According to App Advice, Instagram started testing the feature as early as November of last year. And just last week, some iOS users noticed they could switch between accounts without signing out.

Unfortunately, not everyone has access to the new feature but we’re one of the lucky ones who do. And take it from us: it’s a game changer. It’s also super easy to operate. To access the feature, simply go to your Settings, scroll down, click ‘Add Account’ and sign in to the accounts you’d like to switch to. If you have the latest iOS update (version 7.15) and don’t see the ‘Add Account’ option, you don’t have access to the feature yet (insert crying face emoji).

Those that do have access can switch between several accounts with ease. Just go to your profile page, tap your profile name at the top and then select the account you want to switch to from a drop-down list. You’ll get notifications from each account (which is kind of annoying) but Instagram lists the profile name in front so you know exactly which page just got a like or comment. Genius.

Here’s one update we’re actually happy about (unlike ads). Now about clickable links…
