Judging by the current trend, this time next year, everything we put on our bodies will have been co-produced by a celebrity. Much like Rihanna (the day) before her, today Victoria Beckham announced that, having conquered the world of fashion, she will now foray into the beauty arena. The fashion designer formerly known as Posh Spice took to Twitter to unveil her limited-edition makeup collection in collaboration with Estée Lauder.

The line, Victoria Beckham Estée Lauder, will hit the shelves of Victoriabeckham.com, Esteelauder.com and select retailers this September, and neither artist nor patron could be more thrilled: “The whole process has been both inspiring and eye-opening – from going back and revisiting the Estée Lauder archives through to working on the product with the Estée team, this feels like the perfect make-up partnership for me and my brand,” gushed the Vogue China cover star.
Jane Hertzmark Hudis, group president of The Estée Lauder Companies, echoed Beckham’s excitement: “Victoria is an entrepreneur in the true spirit of our founder, Estée Lauder, with a real understanding of what women want, and a commitment to making women look and feel their most beautiful. Victoria has a passion for beauty and we are delighted to welcome her into our brand.”
We agree the fit couldn’t be better – Beckham’s eye for flattering shades, sleek design and wearability jive perfectly with the clean, fresh Estée Lauder aesthetic we know and love. Those skills will come in especially handy when figuring out how to artfully fit that 26-character name onto a tube of lipstick.
