Ashley Graham Wants You to Suit Up and Join the #MySwimBody Movement

If you want people to see the truth, it’s best to bare it all. Following in the footsteps of campaigns like American Eagle’s #AerieREAL (this time around, the brand is donating $1 to The National Eating Disorders Association for every tagged, unretouched swim photo shared on social media) and StyleLikeU’s What’s Underneath video project (where influencers strip down as they open up about their struggles for self-acceptance), plus-sized swimwear company Swimsuits For All has devised its own revelatory body positive challenge.

The goal is to dissipate women’s dread of the impending bikini season by showcasing a diverse set of women, notably models like Ashley Graham who is ubiquitous to the body acceptance scene, 56-year-old Sports Illustrated star Nicola Griffin, the Lily Project founder Philomena Kwao and even Olympic hammer thrower Amanda Bingson, all loving their bikini bods. #SquadGoals.

Anyone can participate — simply share a swimsuit snap on Twitter or Instagram using the hashtag #MySwimBody and invite a friend to do the same. The brand’s goal is for the moment to reach 10,000 strong — forming a legion of inspiring, confident, sexy women of all types and ages (though you do have to be above 18, for legal not ageist reasons).

Marketing shmarketing, we love this idea, and we’re happy to report the hashtag is already breaking the Internet. Here’s hoping the company crushes its goals and with them, swimsuit stigmas.
