Everybody’s Dream Man Ryan Gosling Thinks ‘Women Are Better Than Men’

“Feminist. That’s a title you’ve got to earn. I never burned a bra! I’m not even a good person! I don’t even compost, man!” Ryan Gosling exclaimed during a (scripted) couple’s therapy session with his Nice Guys partner, Russell Crowe. While we can’t speak to the rest of the claims, the Canadian dreamboat is assuredly a feminist — in a recent interview with Evening Standard magazine, bae Ryan confessed he believes “women are better than men.”

“They are stronger, more evolved,” the actor declared. “You can tell especially when you have daughters and you see their early stages, they are just leaps and bounds beyond boys immediately.” Ryan, who has twice replicated his flawless DNA with his equally stunning wife and Place Between the Pines costar Eva Mendes, lives in a female-dominated household. His elder daughter, Esmeralda, will be two on September 12. His younger, Amada, was born just over a month ago.

While these three females have undoubtedly helped sculpt his worldview, Ryan attests he’s always felt this way: “I was brought up by my mother and older sister,” Gosling said. “I found my way into dance class [See below.]. My home life now is mostly women. They are better than us. They make me better.”

At a young age, Ryan’s taste for his own gender soured a bit: “When my mother and I walked to the grocery store, men would circle the block in cars,” he revealed. “It was very, very scary, especially as a young boy. Very predatory — a hunt.” That said, when it comes to our own obsessive ogling of Ryan, don’t be ashamed, he understands: “It’s our time as men to be on the receiving end of the stick.” We’re beginning to think he’s messing with us.

Gosling also used the discussion of female superiority to take a (veiled) stand on American politics. “I think it needs a woman’s touch,” was as deep as he’d delve.

All of our hard-hitting questions have now been answered.
