Margot Robbie Stuns in Calvin Klein’s Deep Euphoria Fragrance Campaign (Forum Buzz)

Margot Robbie’s name is on everyone’s lips right now. She was snapped up by Anna Wintour for the cover of Vogue, currently stars in this summer’s must-see movie The Legend of Tarzan and was announced as the new face of Calvin Klein fragrance back in May. The highly-anticipated campaign for the new Deep Euphoria scent has finally dropped and it has not let us down. Photographed by Craig McDean, the Aussie stunner reclines across a plush velvet couch wearing a gorgeous purple silk and sequin dress as a half-naked male model lounges in the background.

Our forum members are head over heels. “Wow, this is it for me!! The best I’ve seen her yet. Love everything about it, especially the rich colors. A little bit of me feels it’s more a fashion than perfume campaign, but I’ll take it,” approved Benn98 the second the campaign came to light.

“Those rich, dark colors and that beguiling pose. It’s beyond seductively atmospheric!” praised a more than impressed Aedlacir. (more…)

Watch: 49 Celebs Honor the 49 Victims of the Orlando Shootings in This Tear-Jerking Tribute

Of all the tributes to the casualties of the Orlando tragedy that we’ve seen — Carlos Santolalla’s, Broadway’s, Opening Ceremony’s — this one is by far the most moving. American Horror Story producer Ryan Murphy, who knows how to gather a stellar ensemble of humans and get under our skin, asked 49 of his friends to help create a video commemorating the victims for the Human Rights Campaign. Answering the call, Lady Gaga, Kerry Washington, Connie Britton, Sophia Vergara, Caitlyn Jenner and many more choke back tears as they give us fleeting glimpses of the lives of the 49 victims who fell at Pulse nightclub on June 12. It’ll be a tear-filled 18 minutes of your life, but you won’t regret it one bit.

“It’s on all of us to keep their memories alive and to ensure part of their legacy becomes meaningful action to end hate violence,” said HRC of the project. Let’s hope Congress is watching.

Miss Teen USA Drops the Swimsuit Competition for Athletic Wear

Needless to say, The Miss Universe Organization wasn’t too thrilled with John Olivier when the above segment aired in 2014. (Skip to minute 13:00 for a brilliant analysis of the pageant’s true intent as demonstrated by the continued inclusion of the dated swimsuit portion.) However, it appears Olivier and likeminded individuals’ protestations didn’t fall on deaf ears. The pageant — well, its junior iteration — is finally getting a much-needed update.

Miss Teen USA, which features 15- to 19-year-olds, will no longer include a swimsuit competition, effective immediately. Beginning with this July’s Las Vegas-based spectacle, the 33-year-old beauty pageant will feature a more body-positive athletic wear competition in lieu of its swimwear segment.

“This decision reflects an important cultural shift we’re all celebrating that empowers women who lead active, purposeful lives and encourage those in their communities to do the same,” explained Paula Shugart, president of the Miss Universe Organization. “Our hope is that this decision will help all of Miss Teen USA’s fans recognize these young women for the strong, inspiring individuals they are.” (It also reflects a desire to silence critics who felt that the swimsuit competition objectified young women’s bodies.) Margot Robbie Lied to Get Glasses So She Could Be Like Harry Potter

Watching Margot Robbie act in Hollywood blockbusters like The Wolf Of Wall Street, it seems impossible that she was ever not the other-worldly and fiercely talented Aussie export that she has become.

But fear not, the co-star of the upcoming film The Legend Of Tarzan is much more relatable than you might think. Last night, Robbie appeared on Jimmy Kimmel to chat about her upcoming film release when Kimmel sprung an old photo on the actress. The picture shows Robbie as a kid, wearing glasses and reading a copy of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. “When was this taken?” asks Kimmel. “I don’t think I’d even recognise you.”

Steven Meisel and Julia Nobis Make a ‘Sleek and Chic’ Christian Dior Campaign for Fall 2016 (Forum Buzz)

If you’ve been hiding under a rock since October last year, Raf Simons is out as creative director at Christian Dior and the brand has yet to announce his replacement. But the show must go on and the Fall 2016 advertising campaign is here. Bringing out the big guns with photographer Steven Meisel behind the lens, Julia Nobis models the collection designed by Dior’s in-house studio directors Serge Ruffieux and Lucie Meier. Styled by Carine Roitfeld, the Aussie model strides across the studio while striking some dynamic poses — and it’s the strongest Dior campaign we’ve seen in years.

“This is a smart move for Dior. Meisel has that magic touch that brings clothes to life. No other photographer can do that. The clothes look surprisingly good,” approved GivenchyHomme the moment the campaign dropped.

“Considering the clothes that Meisel had to work with, the result is beyond expectations,” dodencebt echoed. (more…)

What Did Vogue Thailand Do to Rosie Huntington-Whiteley’s Face? (Forum Buzz)

After many successful covers for the likes of British Harper’s Bazaar, Vogue Mexico and Lui Magazine, our forums have high expectations for the ever-gorgeous Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. Therefore, it comes as a surprise that Rosie’s newest cover appears to be unnecessarily over-airbrushed. Shot by Russell James on a sunny day in New York City, the British beauty took to the rooftops for the scenic shoot wearing a gorgeous Gucci dress.

Our eagle-eyed forum members found something a little off about the image, however. “The face, OMG!” cried out a horrified versustito.

“Awful cover. I hate when they Photoshop beautiful women! It makes the pictures almost always look ugly and cheap,” slated an appalled DutchHomme. (more…)
