Plus-Size Model Ashley Graham Announced for Sports Illustrated’s Swimsuit Issue

Sports Illustrated‘s Swimsuit Issue is proceeding with its new-found appreciation of body diversity, tapping plus-size model Ashley Graham as its “SI Rookie” in 2016. 

The news follows Aussie model Robyn Lawley’s inclusion in the 2015 edition, where she made history as the first plus-size model to ever grace the Swimsuit Issue’s pages. Ashley was also part of that mag, however only as part of an advertisement for swimwear label Swimsuitsforall.


Sports Illustrated
is unveiling five Swimsuit Issue “rookies” via their Swim Daily blog this week, with Barbara Palvin already announced. Snaps to SI for continuing to mix up its usual contingent of ultra-thin women. We hope this is just the beginning of what appears to be a modelling industry revolution. (more…)

Plumber Dave’s & Hugh Jackman’s Cancer Scares Should Be a Lesson to Everyone

Australia has one of the highest rates of skin cancer in the world, and two home-grown men have shared their personal scares with the world this week in hopes of raising awareness of the life-threatening disease.

Just yesterday Hugh Jackman shared a photo of himself with a plaster across his nose, explaining, “An example of what happens when you don’t wear sunscreen. Basal Cell. The mildest form of cancer but serious, nonetheless.” Basal cell carcinoma is not an invasive cancer, but it does require treatment as some cases can develop into non-melanoma skin cancers. “PLEASE USE SUNSCREEN and get regular check-ups,” Hugh urged. New Haute Couture Barbie Exhibit Features Designs by Versace, Givenchy and More

55 years after Mattel launched Barbie, her evolution is finally underway. Just last week, the toy manufacturing company announced three new body types and 24 new hairstyles for Barbie’s Fashionista line. Now, the iconic doll is enjoying a high fashion makeover courtesy of a new exhibit produced by Les Cours Mont-Royal in Montreal.

“Barbie Expo” will feature over 1,000 Barbies dressed in feathered gowns and embellished dresses by the likes of Versace, Givenchy and Dior. The exhibit pays tribute to Hollywood glamour with looks that channel Farrah Fawcett, Marilyn Monroe, Grace Kelly, Audrey Hepburn, Elizabeth Taylor and more.

Ruth Bell Fails to Impress as the Face of Jason Wu’s ‘Bizarre’ Spring 2016 Campaign (Forum Buzz)

Jason Wu made it pretty clear that he likes to be in his namesake advertising campaigns while appreciating the company of models like Christy Turlington Burns, Stephanie Seymour and Karlie Kloss. Our forums made no attempt to hide the fact that we loathed the cliché idea, but for Spring 2016, the designer has heard our cries and serves up something totally different and rather unique. Out are the glamorous models and swanky locations in favor of edgy fashion model Ruth Bell, who was shot by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin before a clean, white studio backdrop.

“Is this his attempt to look cool?? Well, let’s look on the bright side – Jason will probably not feature in this campaign. Otherwise everything else is awful. Awful art direction, awful pose, and awful styling. Ruth Bell is not the right girl for this brand, they needed someone more versatile,” Benn98 criticized straight away, setting the tone for comments to come.

Finally! You Can Now Switch Between Multiple Instagram Accounts

Instagram is hands down the fashion industry’s most beloved social platform but it has its drawbacks. Until this week, you couldn’t even switch between accounts without the hassle of logging in and out each time. But alas, change has finally come.

The photo and video-sharing platform officially announced multi-account switching with the latest iOS update (version 7.15). According to App Advice, Instagram started testing the feature as early as November of last year. And just last week, some iOS users noticed they could switch between accounts without signing out. Watch: James Corden & Cindy Crawford Hilariously Parody Her 1992 Pepsi Commercial

James Corden delivered so much more than Carpool Karaoke for his post-Super Bowl edition of The Late Late Show on Sunday night, recreating Cindy Crawford’s famed 1992 Pepsi commercial, alongside the gravity-defying supermodel herself.

The TV spot is wildly similar to the original (especially considering Cindy looks just as smokin’ hot as she did over 20 years ago) until the vending machine gets jammed and James saves the day, repping the same white singlet and denim cut-offs as the 49-year-old beauty. 

Unlike Prince Charmings before him, though, James takes the treasure all for himself and sculls the whole thing like the true hillbilly he appears to be channelling. We think his belch at the end is really the icing on the cake, but you can compare the two in the videos below.
