Cindy Crawford’s Aging Advice: Stay Away from Magnifier Mirrors

Cindy Crawford is an international supermodel so, duh – she pretty much looks amazing all the time. But the 49-year-old says that even though she’s considered gorgeous, she still has her insecurities, especially as she approaches 50. “Every woman feels pressure to look a certain way, and I think being a model and being in the public eye, in some ways, you’re more aware of it, and you’re more judged by it,” she told the Hollywood Reporter. “It’s intimidating.”

Hard to believe that Cindy Crawford would have anything to be insecure about at all, especially after that “unretouched” photo of hers turned out to actually be retouched – and she looks better IRL than she did in the doctored image. Still, Cindy can’t help but feel the way a lot of women feel about aging. “I definitely say stay away from the magnifier mirrors. You know, sometimes you need them to get mascara on, but then you’re like, ‘Ahh!’ Again, I think that when you’re happy in your life, and you have balance … You can’t help but notice it, but then just don’t be attached to it. Let it go, and focus on the day in front of you. I mean, because what else can you do.”

Girl…we get the sentiment of being wary about aging, but honestly, we think Cindy looks so darn good, she shouldn’t worry about it so much. The proof is in the pudding. Below, 10 pictures straight from Crawford’s Instagram that proves she’s just as flawless as ever. (more…)

This Petition Wants to Ban Super-Skinny Models in the UK

The U.K. may be the next country to issue government standards on super-thin models and it’s thanks in part to one model who was simply fed up with the casting agencies telling her to lose weight. Rosalie Nelson started a petition asking the government to enact laws to keep models who are “dangerously skinny” off the runway. Nelson says it is her personal experience as a model that prompted the petition.

“When I walked into one of the U.K.’s biggest model agencies last year they told me I ticked all the boxes except one – I needed to lose weight. So I did. Four months later I lost nearly a stone, 2 inches off my hips. When I returned to the same agency they told me to lose more weight, they wanted me ‘down to the bone.'” Nelson has over 56,000 of her 75,000 signature goal, but it looks like she’s already gotten some government support. “Caroline Nokes MP is the Chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Body Image and is campaigning for the Government to look at the possibility of legislating to ensure models are of a healthy weight,” Nelson writes.

France recently banned agencies and designers from hiring ultra-skinny models on pain of jail time and/or fines. It is also illegal to retouch an image of a model in a way that changes the subject’s appearance without noting the image was retouched.

Cara Delevingne Was the Most Popular Model at LFW, Even Though She Didn’t Walk Any Runways

She may not have walked during London Fashion Week, but she definitely had folks talking. Turns out Cara Delevingne was the most tweeted about model during the event and all she had to do was show up. Delevingne had the twitterati buzzing during the Burberry fashion show, which she attended with girlfriend Annie Clarke, aka St. Vincent. That was about the only show Delevingne attended and still, she couldn’t help but steal the spotlight. That’s some serious star power there.

Delevingne recently went on a Twitter rant decrying the vulture-like actions of the paparazzi, complaining they won’t leave her alone and make it difficult for her to live in her own city. Life’s hard sometimes when you’re an international supermodel who’s so famous you don’t even have to hit the catwalk for people to talk about you.

Lea Michele Makes Us Scream With Joy in Bec & Bridge

Lea Michele was out and about promoting the highly anticipated Glee-meets-American Horror Story series Scream Queens on September 22, looking sexy yet chic in a plunging halter dress by Bec & Bridge.

Pulled from the Australian label’s Resort 2015 collection, Lea picked a revealing orange-leather midi to show off her bangin’ figure. The warm tone of the dress worked perfectly with Lea’s chocolate locks and bronzed skin, and the fine-strap heels were a great finishing touch.

With so much skin on display and no prints to be found anywhere, a little part of us was hoping Lea could’ve amped up the accessories a little more. That being said, she’s got so much more fashion know-how going on than her borderline-psychopath Scream Queens character, Hester, so we can’t complain too much.

Cara Delevingne is sick and tired of the paparazzi hounding her at every turn. The model-turned-actress took to Twitter to vent about the perils of fame thanks to the harassment she faces at the hands of thirsty shutterbugs, looking for a payout over candids of the model.

Delevingne mentions she finds it difficult to live her life in her own city because of the paparazzi and issued a warning to ones that will be present during Milan Fashion Week. “I only cover my face when you are rude to me, please do not make me feel like a zoo animal,” she tweeted.  (more…)
