We’ll never be too old to freak out over Disney. Just today, Vans launched its new Disney collaboration and we’ve already gone bananas. The adorable cartoon collection, called “The Young at Heart,” includes apparel, accessories and shoes for men and women featuring all our favorite pals: Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck and Winnie the Pooh. Look closely and you’ll even see Mickey and Minnie swapping their traditional yellow shoes for red and pink sneakers.

This isn’t the first time Vans partnered with Disney. In fact, they have a long history together. The two first linked up in the 1980s on limited-edition sneakers patterned with original artwork. Later, in 2013, Vans debuted a line of retro-inspired Disney shoes featuring those same classic drawings.

“The Young at Heart” collection will be available this June at Vans retail stores and select locations globally.

Daria Werbowy Returns to the Cover of Vogue Paris (Forum Buzz)

Emmanuelle Alt welcomes back Daria Werbowy to the cover of Vogue Paris‘ June/July issue. Modeling a pair of black bikini bottoms by Eres and a show-stopping sequin top from Christian Dior, Werbowy poses for photographer David Sims in what appears to be an unconventional image for the magazine’s usual beach-inspired summer covers.

Ultimately, the cover leaves our forum members with mixed views. “Worst summer VP I’ve seen. It looks very cold & her expression does not help either!” ranted DutchHomme the moment the cover surfaced.

“I hate the layout, I can’t even tell if I like the cover because of it…” added Zelda Zonk.

Also underwhelmed was fashionlover2001: “Meh… They could [have] done a better job with Daria.”

Narcyza wasn’t feeling it either and echoed, “Daria again? It’s the worst Vogue Paris cover for a long time. What a mess!”

Although not everyone was left so disappointed. “Why does everyone hate this? This is their best cover in MONTHS! WOW! It’s so beautiful,” raved gossiping.

“The more I see it the more I love it. Fave cover under Alt’s reign,” Creative hailed.

“Love it! Nice surprise with the styling and Daria looks very sexy here,” enthused justaguy.

Nepenthes agreed, writing, “I love everything about this. It feels really fresh for summer and Daria looks incredible!”

Lucky Magazine Is Going Quarterly

We’re hearing more news of shake-ups going on at Lucky magazine. A source tells us of several layoffs at the magazine today, but that isn’t the only major change the troubled magazine is going through. Word is, Lucky will be transitioning into a quarterly publication.

It’s been something of a mess at Lucky lately. Last year, the magazine joined forces with BeachMint to form The Lucky Group and in February they unveiled their Lucky Shops website. Late last month, Eva Chen announced she would be stepping down as editor-in-chief of the magazine. Soon after, Lucky postponed their LuckyFabb conference, which was scheduled to take place just a week after they made the announcement.

We reached out to Lucky for comment and we will be updating as we hear more.

UPDATE:  A rep for Lucky confirmed that the magazine is indeed going quarterly, as per a report by AdWeek. Layoffs of around 10 staff members are expected. Starting September, the magazine will transition to its quarterly status and will adopt an elevated “premium ‘collectible’ feeling,” according to Lucky Group CEO Josh Berman. The May issue will be Lucky’s last before switching over to the new format.

Pharrell Williams and Adidas Unveil Latest Collaboration

Pharrell Adidas Collection

Image: Adidas

Pharrell Williams and Adidas have unveiled the latest from their ongoing collaboration and this time Williams is looking to one of Kanye West’s favorite cities to inform his designs. Williams’ fourth collection for the brand is said to be inspired by a visit to the Marché Saint-Pierre by Montmartre’s Sacré-Coeur church in Paris. For the collection, Williams designed two floral unisex jackets (in beige and blue colorways) and Stan Smiths boasting the same print. The patterns on the pieces look like embroidered tapestry, with dusty pink blooms punctuated by the curling fingers of leaves.

According to WWD, there will be only 200 jackets available for $854 while the updated Stan Smiths will go for $205. The collection is due to hit shelves May 30 – a few days before Williams will take the stage at Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall to collect his CFDA Fashion Icon award. We wonder if he will be wearing any Adidas to the affair…

Jane Fonda’s W Magazine Cover Is Everything (Forum Buzz)

W Magazine dropped a bombshell on us earlier today and we couldn’t be happier. While most magazines welcome back the same old cover stars in an effort to secure sales, W takes a risk this month by tapping Jane Fonda to front its June/July 2015 issue. Legendary photographer (and theFashionSpot favorite) Steven Meisel captured the sitting with Edward Enninful on styling duties. Fonda dons a Giambattista Valli haute couture gown and cape, showing us just how it’s done at age 77.

As expected, members of our forums were ecstatic. “Oh damn! Meisel and Fonda! The styling, hair, makeup is on point. Excellent work W!” congratulated t-rex within seconds of the cover surfacing.

“A very well polished cover! Stunning and beyond words. What an iconic W cover. Classic and perfect. That makeup is also on point,” added MON in agreement.

Echoing the excitement was Luxx who declared, “Now THIS is a magazine cover!!”

“Wow, what a stunning surprise!! Absolute perfection. The biggest jaw-dropper is Meisel shooting a W cover again. The editorial looks amazing. And they say fashion doesn’t love older women!!!” Benn98 acknowledged.

Also in the mood and showing support was happycanadian: “YAASSSS. Living for this. Jane Fonda, on the cover of W? Shot by Meisel? My mind is blown. In the best way possible.”

“What a FABULOUS cover. Excellent and unexpected choice in cover star, so refreshing and exciting. Thrilled that Meisel shot it! So much praise for all of this, I’m loving it,” hailed LastNight.

Watch: Kim Kardashian Helps Bruce Jenner Style His Wardrobe

kim kardashian goes through bruce jenner's clothes

As we learned in his interview with Diane Sawyer, Bruce Jenner is no stranger to a good ol’ fashioned closet raid. The reality TV dad told Sawyer that he used to go through his daughters Kendall and Kylie’s closets when they weren’t at home. But it looks like the youngest members of the Kardashian-Jenner crew aren’t the only ones whose wardrobes were subject to one of Bruce’s raids. In a clip from part two of the Keeping Up with the Kardashians “About Bruce” special, Jenner admits that he also stole one of Kim’s outfits.

In the clip, we see Bruce playfully rushing to his closet to retrieve the long sleeve black crew neck top, saying he had swiped it from Kim’s closet “a long, long time ago.” Thankfully, Kim didn’t seem to remember the piece was missing. “Do you remember that?” he asked. “You probably don’t, your clothes go in and out of your closet so fast.”

Of course, there were no hard feelings on Kim’s side for the stolen piece. She went ahead and created an outfit with it just for Bruce. Kim then asks if Bruce ever envied her mother Kris for her clothes, and got a response we all expected. “Well, I went through everything she had in her closet, of course I was envious!”

Adorable. Watch Kim help Bruce put together a fierce wardrobe of his own in the video below. (more…)
