Megan Gale knows how important it is to stay in shape because of her time working in the modelling industry. But, for her role in George Miller’s Mad Max: Fury Road, the 39-year-old really had to up the workout ante for the scene which sees her sliding down a rope, nude.

“I knew there would be a scene where I’d be nude, and all these women are pretty tough and athletic, so you kind of want to look capable and in shape and agile,” Megan tells theFashionSpot.

“So training-wise I ran a lot, I did a lot of weights and Pilates, and a bit of yoga to have flexibility because I knew I had a lot of stunts to do as well,” she continued. (more…)

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West Reportedly Renewing Their Vows in an Appropriately Lavish Manner

Kimye Met Gala

Last year, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West wed in a beautiful ceremony in Florence, so you know that the pair with a penchant for fanfare and excess are going to celebrate the most important union of all time in the most public and possibly traffic-causing manner possible. Rumors are swirling that Kimye are going to renew their vows this year at the Eiffel Tower. According to Us Weekly, the pair is renting out the Parisian landmark, whose 58 Tour Eiffel has been “reserved for a private event.”

Sounds like a lovely affair, begging for the perfect anniversary gift. And fortunately, there is one, thanks to illustrator Zak Tebbal who has created the most perfect illustrated work outlining Kimye’s great romance. Bound 2Gether is a children’s book telling the story of the famous couple based on a lyric sung by Kanye during a live performance of Bound 2: “One good chick is worth a thousand chickens.”

The tale starts with Kim, a fluffy yellow chick, and Kanye, a god among men (or in this case, chickens), who had a great little friendship until Kim sees Kanye playing with other chickens and gets upset. She runs away and when Kanye realizes she’s gone, he hunts for her. The two eventually find each other and Kanye learns a valuable lesson in the process.

Such an adorable little tome can serve as consolation for the Wests, whose names have been excluded from the cover of Vogue‘s special Met Gala issue. Starring Rihanna on the cover, the issue lists several celebrities including Kendall Jenner, Jennifer Lopez and George and Amal Clooney – but not Kimye. Some are speculating that the pair was left off the cover as punishment for violating Anna Wintour’s selfie ban, but we think Vogue has made it quite clear that they are very much pro-Kimye.

Lulu Kennedy Creates Capsule Collection for Marks & Spencer

Lulu Kennedy, Fashion East founder and the brains behind her very own label Lulu & Co, is now lending a fashionable hand to the high street by teaming up with M&S to launch a capsule clothing collection called Indigo. As the suede skirt frenzy dies down, it’s another clear sign that M&S is increasingly trying to up its fashion credentials and win back a few old customers. That’s, of course, in addition to new stylish fans Alexa Chung and Olivia Palermo, who were both spotted in M&S purse-friendly pieces at Fashion Week, causing waiting lists to ensue.

It may be Lulu’s first collaboration with M&S, but she’s no stranger to working with the brand as she recently starred alongside the likes of Rita Ora and Annie Lennox in its 2014 Leading Ladies campaign.

Reese Witherspoon’s Draper James Site Is Doing Quite Well, Thank You

Last week, Reese Witherspoon launched her Southern-focused lifestyle site Draper James, joining blonde thespian peers Blake Lively and Gwyneth Paltrow in the pricey clothing and knick-knacks online space. And it looks like Witherspoon’s venture is off to a terrific start.

WWD reports that on the same day Witherspoon launched her destination, a few of the items had already sold out. The top item for shoppers by far has been the $155 “Totes Y’all” tote bag, which has already been restocked. They also sold out of both colors of a $285 eyelet dress and all three versions of a $300 sundress with V-front straps. Today when we checked, the site was also sold out of the Solid Edgehill Dress and Printed Garland Tank in both magnolia prints.

So the answer to “did we really need another celebrity lifestyle site?” has been emphatically answered by the public. Witherspoon’s twist of Southern charm has been a boon to her burgeoning business so far. Only time will tell if this success is just a flash-in-the-pan rush of excitement for a new brand, or if she can establish a long-lasting destination to rival that of Goop, which launched in 2008.

72 Dead in Philippine Factory Fire

It seems that every few weeks we hear of another disaster in a factory filled with people who make our clothes and shoes. This time, a footwear factory outside Manila caught ablaze and 72 people are dead in the aftermath.

A factory in Valenzuela City owned by the Kentex Manufacturing Corp. went up in flames, which is believe to have been caused by welding work going on at the entrance to the factory. Investigators say that the sparks from the welders set nearby containers of chemicals on fire. Of course, this fire brought up questions about the unsafe working conditions in this particular factory, which had bars on the windows that kept people from escaping during the blaze. 72 people are said to have been killed and many of them were on the second floor of the building, leading investigators to believe the workers were trapped.

Many of the bodies are said to be burned beyond recognition, making identifying the victims difficult for authorities. The Kentex Manufacturing location is said to be where Havana flip flops are produced, a knockoff of the famous Havaianas footwear.

Gisele Bündchen’s Recycled Photo on Vogue Portugal Delights (Forum Buzz)

More often than not, you’ll hear us ranting about magazines using reprints. Yet Vogue Portugal has restored our faith in recycled shots with its fabulous June 2015 cover. The magazine tapped Gisele Bündchen‘s shoot with Mario Testino from Vogue China’s March issue for its latest and we couldn’t be more delighted. The appearance is perfectly timed after Gisele’s retirement from the catwalk last month.

Our forum members were quick to show their enthusiasm. “Fantastic reprint, it looks gorgeous!” Miss Dalloway raved immediately.

“Better than Vogue China March. Gisele already got 5 Vogue covers this year,” shared Kikala.

“Stunning cover! I don’t care that it’s a reprint. Pains me to say this but it looks better than the original,” Benn98 agreed.

TeeVanity shared the same sentiments and was quick to add, “Now this is a great way to use a reprint, stunning!”

Feeling the same way was Bertrando3: “One of the best reprints in the history of Vogue! Good one Vogue Portugal.”

“Shocked! I usually hate when magazines run reprints because they never seem to get it right, but a round of applause to Vogue Portugal for this knockout of a reprint. Gisele looks amazing,” enthused RanThe.

“It’s a gorgeous reprint, they did it right this time,” KateTheGreatest echoed.

Nepenthes described it as a “stunning reprint” and we couldn’t agree more.
