Marion Cotillard Is Interview’s March Cover Star (Forum Buzz)

Marion Cotillard covers the March 2014 issue of American publication, Interview. The actress who was photographed by Craig McDean wears a dress from Raf Simons' latest collection for French fashion house, Christian Dior.

Interview is one of those publications which rarely gets it wrong, although Kite commented, "Its a very autumnal/wintery cover and editorial. especially when they have 'Spring Fashion Issue' on the cover."

"I wish they could have done something more original. Im kind of bored of [these] heavy editorials and truthfully I like Marion in something simpler and cleaner," wrote jmrmatinho

GivenchyHomme wasn't impressed with the choice of outfit, "They just had to put her in that awful Dior dress. It's just as ugly up close as it is in full," he explained.

Nymphaea admired the fact Cotillard was covering Interview, "She looks as gorgeous as always, nothing more nothing less."

"She looks sooo chic, as always, I love it," commented Bertrando3

What's your view on the cover? Check out the thread, here.

A Sultry Jessica Hart Fronts French L’Officiel’s March Issue (Forum Buzz)

Alright.. take a minute and prepare yourself for one heck of a smoldering cover.

Jessica Hart covers the March 2014 issue of L'Officiel Paris. Hart, who was photographed by Matthias Vriens-McGrath, wears a piece from Raf Simons' latest collection for Christian Dior.

I absolutely love this and disagree with GlamorousBoy who commented, "Too much 80s for me." You can never have too much of an 80s reference in one story! Out of all the decades we get a throwback to, the 80s is my favorite. All of these 60s and 70s stories don't get a look in when something like this is around. Here's to hoping the accompanying story is just as fantastic.

H&M’s Upscale Sister Label COS is Coming to Australia

If you’ve been following news of H&M’s impending Australian takeover closely, you’ll know it’s only two months before you can storm the Melbourne gates of fast fashion heaven as Miranda Kerr’s magnified dimples beam down upon you from a higher place (Sydney, you’ll have to wait 16 months longer).

But the best part of the Swedish high stalwart’s infiltration has been less extensively documented on Instagram. H&M has also leased a site in The Strand at 250 Elizabeth for its cult-favourite sister label COS — a minimal, still affordable line in the aesthetic vein of Celine and Stella McCartney.

The older, chicer sibling of Hennes & Mauritz AB is the chain’s most popular in-house brand, and sartorial crack for editors who flock to London and Paris during Fashion Week to fill every gap in their suitcase with its pared-back wares. Even New York is still awaiting its own COS outlet, slated to open in the U.S. in the spring, and for years you couldn’t even shop it online.

“We are all looking forward to opening COS in Australia,” said Overall Brand Responsible of COS Marie Honda. “Melbourne is a vibrant, cultural and exciting city which we feel will be the ideal setting for our first store.”

The COS site was chosen to complement the first Australian H&M store in the adjoining Melbourne GPO building. The brand has also called dibs on three levels of Sydney’s 345 George Street as well as North Ryde’s Macquarie Centre.

Vancouver Fashion Week Fall 2014 Goes Global with an Expansive List of Designers

We can’t begin trumpeting Toronto Fashion Week without mentioning the West Coast’s biannual fashion soiree. Known as the fastest growing Fashion Week in the world, Vancouver Fashion Week is due to click its heels together and strut its sexy stuff down the runways from March 18 through March 24.

So, what are we to expect at the Fall 2014 shows? Approximately 80 designers from more than 30 countries are set to show off their treasures, with the likes of Argentinian designer Gabriel Lage, Peruvian designer Noe Bernacelli, South Korean designer Soojin Lee, London-based designers Nadia + Zehra and Peruvian designer Evolét- by Jercy Gutierrez all hopping on long-hauls to attend.

In terms of Canadian talent, Vancouver-based designer Stephanie Hung of Nina Tan will be waving the maple leaf flag with her collection of women’s ready-to-wear along with cocktail and evening dresses. Last season, Hung showed a bold array of blue, cream and red pieces with brocade and lace details, as well as chiffon-printed dresses in shades of lavender. This year, she plans to stick with the ladylike frills and “accentuate the feminine lines of a women’s body by making pieces that both look good and feel good.”

Also rounding out the home team is Vancouver-based designers Evan Clayton, Dandi Wind Opaine, Grandi’s Atelier and JFG Designs, Toronto designer Garde Del Avante, Thunder Bay resident Lisa Loveday and Ottawa designer Sonya Jang. You can check out the very comprehensive lineup over at VFW’s site and remember that tickets start from just $30 for a double show pass.
